Scheduling should obviously be one of the first applications to be digitised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Constantly entering the schedule as production progresses, and at the start of every week, takes up a great deal of time that is precious for the company&rsquo;s performance. All you have to do is drag the manufacturing order onto the chosen machine or operator, at the chosen time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This scheduling method is called smart because the MES remembers your choices. Over time, the schedule fills itself almost automatically. It remembers the duration of each process, the preferred machine or operator for a given job, and so on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All this in an intuitive, effective, user-oriented interface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><b>Can a MES take scheduling performance further?<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where a MES differs from basic scheduling software.
