The most recent in industry came through new information and communication technologies, Industry 4.0 and Big Data (not forgetting the emergence and importance of standards).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nevertheless, manufacturers&rsquo; needs and objectives have stayed the same: to control their production as well as possible, in particular by collecting information and making it available. It must reach the right people at the right time to increase productivity and quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tomorrow&rsquo;s MES runs on the web:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, manufacturers need mobility in their shops. The 5G + Big Data formula only wins with maximum connectivity. That is why it is becoming imperative for MES publishers to develop a WEB version of their software to meet these new needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This mobility will affect operators&rsquo; traditional working methods, which will have to adapt to make the most of this change. The impact will be on 3 points in particular:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The necessary pairing of a <strong>digital<\/strong> <strong>action<\/strong> with a <strong>physical action<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bringing the digital <strong>process<\/strong> as close as possible to the physical <strong>process<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>process<\/strong> centred on the <strong>operator<\/strong>, because they are the one who enters the right information at the right time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The strengths of a WEB-based MES:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mobility<\/strong> allows data entry anytime, anywhere<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Several devices can be used for different purposes: tablet, mobile phone, handheld scanner, radio terminal\u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>WEB<\/strong> version with a good network allows more advanced uses: photos or videos of parts, machines or scrap for quality control, <strong>reporting a breakdown<\/strong> and its cause (by sending machine data or photos \/ videos)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Greater <strong>reliability of information<\/strong>, by reducing the data-entry error rate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adding videos, tutorials, <strong>training content<\/strong> (in augmented reality) and other demos that are essential to <strong>get to grips<\/strong> quickly with the workstation, as well as real-time <strong>instructions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/meta2i.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/08\/photo-mobilite-1024x656-1.jpg\" alt=\"photo mobilit\u00e9\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A concrete example of mobility with KmProd:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company with a stock-tracking problem called on Meta 2i to find the most suitable solution.
